Labor Doulas: We provide a team of two doulas dedicated to serving you. They will both attend your prenatal meetings and provide you with phone and email support. They will rotate being on-call for you throughout your pregnancy, and back each other up if needed. They are committed to working together to help you have a beautiful and seamless experience!

Postpartum Doulas: One or more experienced certified postpartum doulas will serve your family, depending on how much support you desire. She will come into your home a clean slate, ready to help you achieve the parenting goals that you have for yourself, and ensure that you have a smooth and peaceful recovery from childbirth. For consecutive overnight support, you will have a rotating small team of doulas to ensure well-rested caregivers.

Sara Skiles is the owner and Family Care Coordinator at Wichita Doula, and she is also a certified doula and childbirth educator. Sara is a mother of two and has extensive training, skills and personal experience in breastfeeding, birth options, comfort techniques, communication, and all types of birth and parenting styles. She holds current certifications in doula work, placenta arts, childbirth education, rebozo care, and other skills.

Sara's clients love that she brings the warmth of both empathy and humor to their relationships. She has been described as serene, non-judgmental, and calming, as well as funny, sassy, and outgoing. She is proud of her past work in overcoming perinatal anxiety/OCD and depression and one of her biggest passions is helping other new parents get the education, practical help, and the resources they need to have positive postpartum experiences. Sara's other loves include baking, writing, painting, and great conversations with friends. Wichita Doula has been lucky enough to have Mary Reed on our team since 2019. Mary is Sara's birth doula partner as well as a loving and experienced postpartum doula.

Mary is the QUEEN of the rebozo and Spinning Babies after attending hundreds of deliveries as a doula, and she will make sure you get that baby out of you if she has anything to say about it. With Mary as your doula, prepare to be extremely hydrated, actively moving around the room/bathroom/hallways, and for your spouse or partner to be coached on exactly what to do to support and comfort you.

Everyone who meets Mary feels so comforted, loved, supported, and prayed for. What an amazing and experienced guide to have by your side during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum!
